Through its collaborations with multiple renowned knowledge and expertise centers around the world, KFAS supports programs that aim to enhance the capacities of researchers, policy makers, students and teachers and to develop an innovative environment in Kuwait. Such programs come within the Foundation’s efforts towards achieving a knowledge based economy.

Development of Kuwait Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Model

KFAS and Kuwait Public Policy Center (KPPC) have commissioned the OIES to develop a Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model that takes into account the local political economy. The model seeks to transit relevant knowledge to Kuwaiti stakeholders and policy makers to inform their policy-making process and conduct policy assessment on the impact of: energy pricing reform, tax reform, and competition reform.
